Supporting
the Humane Society
LCHS was founded on a love for animals and a desire to
see them have long, happy lives. It has sustained through the
years from donations of time and money from people like you.
Your
contribution does the following:
* Gives homeless pets a safe no-kill “foster” home until they
are adopted,
* Reduces needless killing of unwanted pets through pet care
education and development of a spay neuter assistance program,
* Promotes humane education and animal welfare, and
* Invests in the vision of a larger, newer facility.
General
Contributions
LCHS welcomes donations of any size. All donors that give annual
minimum of $35 become LCHS members with the ability to vote/be
elected to the board of directors or to an officer’s position.
Larger donation categories provide recognition based on the level
of donation, including recognition at the annual Fall Gala and in
Paw Printz.
Memorial
Donations
Lea County Humane Society is honored to accept donation in memory
of a loved one. Donations are recognized with a special card to
the recipient’s family when appropriate.
Homeless Pet
Sponsorship (Hope)
Are you a pet lover, but unable to have one yourself? Now you can
adopt a pet without taking one home. Individuals, businesses or
groups can help care for a homeless pet through a monthly
sponsorship pledge. Sponsors receive a picture and a letter from
their “adopted” cat or dog and information on their status.
Your name will be placed on the kennel as the current sponsor.
Sponsors are welcome to spend time with their pet and encouraged
in helping find them a good home.

Sponsorship
To help pay for the high cost of running an animal shelter,
kennels can be sponsored on an annual basis. Sponsors are
acknowledged with a plaque on the kennel, a certificate for your
wall, and recognition in Paw Printz, our bimonthly newsletter. As
a humane society supporter, all visitors to the shelter will see
your name.
