Padrinos
serve as public relation volunteers. This committee conducts Bienvendio
Ceremony (ribbon cuttings) and welcomes new chamber members.
As an opportunity to introduce new members and facilitate
networking, this committee plans and hosts our monthly Pan
Dulce y Café. The purpose of Pan
Dulce y Café is to give members and non-members a chance to
get to know one another, discuss business issues and become
aware of the many benefits of being a HHCC member.

The objectives of this committee are to increase the role of membership
drives in membership recruitment efforts; develop new activities
and enhance the role of existing events to help recruit new
members; and increase member’s understanding of the Hispano
Chamber’s mission and activities, as well as the benefits and
obligations of membership in the Hispano Chamber.
HHCC
Awards Banquet recognizes local business leaders for their
contributions to our local economy and community.
Economic Development

The goal of this committee is to make recommendations to the Board of
Directors and the Executive Director of the direction and forces
of the community and economic development efforts to the Hobbs
Hispano Chamber of Commerce to advocate, promote, and network.
To assist business leaders, owners and professionals to
further enhance their skills and knowledge for operating a
successful small business.
Educational
workshops/seminars such as these provide the opportunity for
business owners to further enhance their skills and knowledge
for operating their small business.
Community Affairs

The
objective of this committee is to enhance the community and
members’ welfare. They accomplish this task by sponsoring and
coordinating events in areas of interest, outside the business focus.
The Fiesta de Salud, which as become a much anticipated annual free
health fair, is designed to provide free medical exams and
information for the general public. Local Health agencies and
professionals provide information and services through the
Fiesta de Salud. This committee also focuses their efforts in
engaging members of the community to volunteer and become
involved with community service.

The
objective of this Committee is to encourage and assist our youth
in completing and continuing their education. This committee
raises funds to provide HHCC Scholarships. They award annual
scholarship to local high school seniors. It is in this
committee’s charge to recognize outstanding, exemplary
students who volunteer and are involved in the local community.

Cinco
de Mayo coke sales is among the many fundraisers held
throughout the year for the HHCC Scholarship Fund.
Hobbs
Hispano Chamber of Commerce Education Committee in the
past two years has raised over $8,000.00 for the HHCC
Scholarship Fund.
