The Ribbon Cutting was held, Tuesday February 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.

Uchenna and Gail Arinzeh are the owners of the new Tax Centers of America franchise located at 114 N. Turner in Hobbs, NM. Gail, a Hobbs native, has an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of New Mexico, a CPA and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Michigan. Uchenna, originally from Nigeria, grew up in New Jersey. He is a licensed real estate agent and holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.

Tax Centers of America, a franchise-based corporation with over 200 locations in 21 states, is headquartered in Russellville, AR. Gail and Uchenna decided to open their first TCOA location in Gail’s hometown and plan to open their second location in Uche’s New Jersey hometown next year. Their Hobbs franchise currently offers income tax preparation, electronic tax filing and same day refund loans. Soon, the location will also offer MoneyGram money order, money transfer, prepaid card and bill payment services. Post-tax season plans include launching a non-standard auto insurance product.
