Poem "Till We Meet
Again" by Steve Morgan
The days are passing quickly now as time grows short.
Soon we'll be going our separate ways.
I remember laughing at each other, working side-by-side,
arguing and apologizing, and playing in the snow.
But the time moves on.
We all grow up.
And we all have our destinies to seek.
So we must say, "Farewell, my friends, till we meet again."
The good times we've had have been fun.
The bad times we stuck together.
Though in the future I see we may never again meet,
I will remember you as long as I live.
Farewell, my friends, till we meet again.
May you find happiness on the path you tread.
Live your life to the fullest it can be,
And once in a while remember me.
Time has now passed us and gone.
Memories remain, but that is all.
And now it's time to part, though we really want to stay.
It's the price we must pay for loving our friends.
So hold our memories tight till we meet again.
Saying goodbye is never easy, and so I say "Farewell."
And if life comes crumbling down on me, I'll remember I still have a friend.
Life's too short to leave our friends behind us.
That's why we carry them wherever we go.
So when we're frightened and hurt or sad or alone,
Memories of better times comfort us as we return to our friends.
Farewell, my friends, till we meet again.
Remember the times we stuck together, and the way things used to be.
Return when you're feeling down or sad, and let them lift your spirits high.
Yet for all the good times we've had, may you find an even happier life ahead.
Live long and happy, my friends, till we meet again.
Hold memories tight...
