The
Weather:
Our
part of the state enjoys very mild
winters, and very warm summers. In
the winter we have mild days, and cold
nights. In the summer we have warm to hot
days and cool desert nights.
Our Spring generally comes early, and
Winters come late. The humidity index is
low, and rain is scarce.
Public
Transportation:
Forget
long distance commuting and traffic
jams. The city itself enjoys no traffic
snarls and no long commuting from place
to place. In most cases, one can travel
from one end of town to the other within
15 or 20 minutes.
We have grown very used to uncrowded
highways and pleasurable excursions on
our state's highways. In addition,
there is interstate access within 90
miles. Hobbs is situate to the
East by Interstate 27, the north by
Interstate 40, the West by Interstate
25, and the South by Interstate 20 and
Interstate 10, all within a few hours
driving distance.
